- This Fallout book covers the new downloadable content for both the Xbox 360 and PC versions. It's pages are full of info that cannot be found in the original guide plus enhanced versions of information covered in the original guide.
- For example, the new stuff covers, of course, the walkthroughs for The Pitt and Operation: Anchorage. Check out page 66. This is the first quest for the Operation: Anchorage DLC. The format is exactly the same as the original book, with complete flowcharts showing exactly what the player's choices will mean, breakdowns of all the items to be found (check the icons in the upper left of page 68) and box outs showing how different skills will affect your play through (check the Science skill box on page 70). These are as complete as a guided tour can be, giving the player all the info they'll need to see all the paths they can take in this open world. Can't beat that kind of coverage.
- For the enhanced sections, flip to page 16 to see the newly improved weapons section. In the original book there were tables for the weapons. In the new Game Add-on Pack book you'll see pics for every weapon as well as descriptions, screenshot, art, and the relevant stats. This design allows for a more accessible weapon section, where players can find what they want in full glorious color instead of text-only tables. These sections not only show the new weapons available in the expansions but also go over ALL the weapons in the original game. More bang for the buck.
- And for point of interest number three, turn to page 159 and you'll be faced with all the new collectibles from the add-on missions. If you've played the original game you'll be able to appreciate just how important these tables are. The extra Fat Man, new Nuka Colas, and unique item and weapons are listed along with the new Achievements. This game is about obsession over details and the appendix certainly feeds that obsession.
